Haikus.

I wrote some haikus to highlight the sublimity of interpretation and how perspective affects perception, a key reoccurring theme in my portfolio. What is very interesting and intriguing about haikus is their simplistic, yet complex nature, where only a few words written in 5-7-5 (syllables per line) create a story full of sublimity. Therefore, this leaves each person with an individualized experience as they read the poems just as everyone will have a different definition of the future based on the narrative we tell themselves each day. So, I combined various elements of nature together in relation to the Humanities program, time, our present, and the future.
Enjoy :)

Will amur leapords
still drink from the lake one day
time will tell, they say...

No. 2
Catching reflections
waterfalls sculpting Earth's valleys
etched in memory.

No. 3
Dawn with haze at last
blanketing and protecting
what rests in its embrace.
